NEXCO (NCC Ex-Cadets Organisation) is a non-profit organization committed to the holistic upliftment of society through its wide-reaching social welfare initiatives. Since its founding in 2007, NEXCO has worked tirelessly to create a positive impact across multiple areas, focusing on the welfare of children, youth, women, and the elderly, as well as addressing broader community needs.
Children Welfare
One of NEXCO’s primary areas of focus is the welfare of underprivileged children. Recognizing the importance of education as a foundation for a brighter future, NEXCO runs programs to provide free or low-cost educational resources to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The organization sets up learning centers and offers tutoring, scholarships, and educational materials to ensure that no child is deprived of the opportunity to learn and grow. Beyond education, NEXCO also conducts health camps, nutritional programs, and recreational activities to ensure the overall well-being of children.
Youth Welfare
For the youth, NEXCO’s efforts focus on skill development, career guidance, and leadership training. With many of its members being ex-NCC cadets, NEXCO understands the importance of discipline, responsibility, and self-reliance. Through workshops and seminars, the organization provides training in competitive exams, spoken English, computer skills, and professional development, helping young people build the skills they need to succeed. In addition, NEXCO also encourages youth participation in social service, fostering a spirit of community engagement and leadership.
Women Welfare
NEXCO is also deeply committed to the empowerment of women, focusing on creating opportunities for women to achieve financial independence and social equality. Through vocational training programs, NEXCO helps women, particularly from rural and marginalized communities, develop marketable skills in areas such as tailoring, handicrafts, and entrepreneurship. The organization also promotes awareness about women’s rights, health, and safety, and supports initiatives to combat gender-based violence and discrimination. By providing women with the tools and knowledge they need, NEXCO helps them build better lives for themselves and their families.
Elderly Welfare
